Mac OS 9.2.2 (retail OS 9.2.2 disk supplied with G3 Macintosh) Directions for burning a boot/startup system install cd. 1. Keep the toast image locked - do NOT mount the image to the desktop. 2. Load in a blank 700MB CD-R disk into your cd burner 3. Drag and drop the locked toast image onto your Toast app (version 3.5 or newer) 4. Write a cd... The result will be a bootable system install cd. Please refer to the "Start up commands" document for various keyboard commands to force startup from the inserted cd. For those with internal Macintosh CD-ROM drives: 1. Insert the CD disk into your Mac CD-ROM drive. 2. Start or restart your Mac with the CD inserted 3. Hold down the 'c' key after restart and keep holding down the letter 'c' key. 4. Wait until your Mac starts up from the CD-ROM before letting go of the 'c' key. 5. You can let go of the 'c' key once the startup is well under way. 6. You'll know your Mac has successfully started up from the CD when you see the Mac OS 9.2.2 cd icon listed as the top most drive (upper right hand side).
